DSM - AF1: NIKE FOR DOVER STREET MARKET

For their 30th anniversary, Nike, the giant American footwear and sportswear brand collaborated with one of London’s most trendy stores Dover Street Market for an ultra fashionable design, the DSM AF1.

The ultra minimalist white sneaker style has been worn lately by high end designers from Vacarello to Philo, and it is now the London concept store created by Rei Kawakubo, designer for Comme des Garcons to release the Nike for Dover Street Market pack including two pairs in Navy Blue and Immaculate white, made of Ventile material, a new waterproof textile said to become a must-street wear footwear fabric in the coming months.

In fact, initially designed for diving suits, Ventile is also fireproof, windproof and tear resistant, while remaining flexible and light to marry in the best shape of your feet.

The Limited DSM AF1 model has the numbers 17-18 on the shoe’s tongue in reference to the street number of the London’s store.

The sleek capsule collection, an uprecedent collaboration, most expected by Nike’s fans and the Japanese Designer’s followers, was showcased in Japan on the 20th of July 2012, and will be out in London in the DSM store next week.
