Surely everyone has heard of disco pants by now? Disco Pants are getting more and more popular and everyone is after them! The high-waisted, skin tight, ultra shiny trousers trend has been fashionable by many celebrities like Jessie J (who has been spotted wearing them in almost every colour!) Cher Lloyd, Shenae Grimes, Little Mix and even the dancers on Jesus Superstar! The trousers are sold by American Apparel for £70 - ouch - but many other stores have developed duplicates at a minimum of the price.
The trousers are nylon and elastane and promise to help fake a slim, flattering effect – could they get any better? Yes, they also come in seven shades promising a colour for everyone. From bright green for those who like to take a risk or black for the not so daring.
The 80s style trousers are easy to pair with almost anything. Being high-waisted it gives you the chance to create a range of looks – tucked in tops, bralets, high heel shoes, converse, ankle boots, are just a small example of the many items of clothing you can pair with the pants. Although it seems so boring to jump on the band wagon and join in the trend, there are a lot of different ways to style the pants to suit you and create your own personal style without looking the same as everyone else.
