VINTAGE IS IN - ACCESSORISE YOURSELF WITH VINTAGE JEWELLERY THIS SEASON

History repeats itself and who better to prove that right than you fashion gurus. Vintage jewellery has been back and forth in style, but now it’s here to stay! It gives your attire a rustic, classier look and accessorises well with anything in your wardrobe.

Now, there are various ways from which you can get your hands on such pieces of work. If you are looking for something original, then just visit your local antique store. The jewellery there will take you back in time and make you fall in love with it all over again. However, it may be a bit pricey! But if you’re a big spender for accessories then go right ahead.

If you still want something original, then raid granny’s dreaded closet. Trust me, you can find a lot of vintage stuff that can pass off as chic. Unless you granny is a miser... invading her closet will be free! Another simple way of getting these pieces of work is through your retail outlets. However, personally I feel that the jewellery available in retail stores is worn quite commonly and therefore the ‘vintage’ loses itself on the way.

If you’re looking for costume vintage jewellery, which is an imitation of the original (and is quite cheap), then just search online for them. Through experience I have found the most unique pieces of jewellery. Although they are imitations or as they like to put it as ‘costume jewellery’, they look original and one of a kind (something you won’t find your local girls wearing). Best of all, it is half the price of what it would be in the retail outlets.

Vintage jewellery, such as necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, bangles, brooches, ‘the works’ look amazingly good when paired up with anything you wear. They give your attire a sense of chic with a touch of rustic. But remember don’t wear all of these accessories together or you’re going to like a fortune teller (unless that’s the look you were going for).

Vintage is back in, so it’s time to unleash your past into your present!
