"A hat is a flag, a shield, a bit of armor, and the badge of femininity. A hat is the difference between wearing clothes and wearing a costume; it's the difference between being dressed and being dressed up; it's the difference between looking adequate and looking your best. A hat is to be stylish in, to glow under, to flirt beneath, to make all others seem jealous over, and to make all men feel masculine about. A piece of magic is a hat" - Martha Sliter.

I could not have put it better myself. For a well-employed hat, ladies and gentlemen, does indeed reach far beyond the realm of mere accessories. It is a statement piece, that final touch, the sometimes small, others larger-than-life garnishing that usually comes as the side dish, but often ends as the main course. And while we’re all dreaming of sunny days and the moment when we’ll finally be able to pull off wide brim visors and charmingly floppy straw hats, the weather still calls for some prudence. But despair not, you fashionable little beasts, possibilities are endless.

Think Paris… Ah, the sweet Beret, of course. Every time I see a woman wearing one I feel a tiny pang of jealousy and can’t help but ask myself why on Earth I never think of it! When it comes to the Pillbox hat, however, you’ll require a bit more of poise. For anyone trying to make an impression this is a well worth endeavor, as people will literally stop on their tracks to ask themselves who you are. No one forgets a girl in a Pillbox hat. Continuing on the glamorous side of life, Turbans are also a very viable option. One which I have endlessly praised. Despite looking outrageously stylish, they’re much more simple to achieve than you’d expect.

But because we do live in a new millennia, you might be looking for something, say, a bit more contemporary. If the boyfriend look is up your alley than the Beanie hat is what you’re looking for. Make sure not to wear it in a bad mood, or you’ll just look like you’re about to mug somebody. For bohos, hipsters & excentriques alike, see beside the Trilby, the Fedora, the Bowler and the Boaster hats. I told you you’re spoilt for options... Now go browse our very own selection and find out just how cheap it is to give a dull look that instant je ne sais quoi.
