SUMMER BREEZE- CHIFFON CLOTHING

Although the weather in U.K. does swing around quite a bit, you can be sure that there are going to be a few sunny spells in the coming days. Cotton has been a favourite summer material for a while cause of its light-weight feel. But during this heat try something different and go with chiffon.

Chiffon is a blend of cotton, silk and synthetic fibres which results in an airy, light feel. The most unique quality of this material is its natural flow and its tendency to take the shape of your body. Chiffon shirts can be worn with trousers, jeans, pallazos and chinos to give you a formal/ semi-casual. Whereas dresses aka ‘summer dresses’ can be worn with a pair of flip flops or sandals to the beach to give a casual look or a pair of wedge heels for a lunch out with friends.

Since this material is very thin, it tends to be see-through, therefore a camisole is usually worn under it. However, the lesser the better during summer so why not just wear a contrasting bikini top under your chiffon blouse, tunic or dress.

We all know how annoying and irritating the heat can get on the skin and therefore it is the ideal material to be wearing this summer.
