S FOR GUCCIS NEW FRAGRANCE

Blonde hair, charming smile, strong character, the perfect Hollywood combination for an uprising star, the famous Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl, Queen B’s best friend, is once again at the top of her acting and fashion career.

Chosen by Karl Lagerfeld in 2011 as the ‘face’ of Chanel's new "Mademoiselle" handbag line is it now for Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci, to pick Blake Lively as the ‘face’ of the new Gucci Perfume campaign.

Blake Lively will once again shine under the spotlights in a short movie clip featuring the new Gucci fragrance, Premiere. Photographed by Mert & Marcus and produced by the well-known Nicolas Winding Refn (also producer of Drive), the film will be released on September 1st during the Venice Film Festival.

Inspired by the timeless Hollywood glamour and the golden era of the leading women, Frida Giannini couldn’t think of anyone best suited for such a role, but the beautiful charismatic and contemporary Blake Lively. According to NY Magazine, Lively stated: “ I admire the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and feel honored to represent the fragrance."

The 24-year-old Gossip Girl actress also revealed to WWD: “Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength. In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance… I couldn't be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida [Giannini]."

We most definitely loved Blake Lively in her ‘S’ role, an icon for most teenage girls, no doubt she will take our breaths away one more time when representing a iconic fashion brand.
