POSH SPICE DOES NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
Mercedes-Benz fashion week began in the Big Apple on the 6th and went on until the 13th September. Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham was a well known face who had a chance to flaunt her new line with her catwalk show on the 9th September. Known for her towering high heel shoes, VB tried something a little different with her range which featured FLAT shoes. Flat backless calf high boots and black and white brogues were some of the shoes modelled.
Her collection proved popular as on lookers, including David Beckham in the front row, gave her a huge applause which seemed to fill Victoria with emotion and I definitely understand why her collection was appreciated so much! I wish her pieces were affordable high street items.
My favourites include a red blazer and matching skater skirt, a white long collar blouse, a white pencil skirt dresses and a beautiful LBD which the designer was seen wearing herself. Perfect clothing which can be easily paired with tights or boots for the upcoming winter months. Also very relevant for back to school this month as the collection has been referred to as very 'school girl'. The outfits are simple but feminine which is often unusual for the catwalks with their wacky designs. Although I must admit, the peep-toe shoe-boots the models wore which Victoria also wore herself – I am not a fan! Flip flops, sandals, boots and heels are not a good mixture! I hope these don't become a must-have this season.
VB showed her humorous side by posting a photo before the show which was a apparently a sneak preview of her line. A girl in a towel and slippers. Thankfully her line didn't produce anything near similar. Days later she also posted a photo of Harper on the catwalk, maybe we will be seeing her modelling her next collection?
