BLUE, BLACK, GOLD - THE SEASONS MUST-HAVE COMBO
This autumn, the fashion world is putting the elegant combination of black and gold at the forefront, seeking inspiration from Renaissance, Asian and Modernist trends. Featured in brocade, foil leaf and delicately embossed surfaces, the mixture of black and gold is one of pure harmony and glamour. On the whole, it is preferable to allow gold to dominate the outfit. It will be more flattering to any silhouette. It is best to avoid wearing any other colour, which may clash with the strong contrast between black and gold. If you wish to accessorise your outfit, opt for gold jewellery, such as our Multi-faceted Gold Beaded Bracelet, for only £3.99. Our Black Patent High Heel Stiletto Sandals With Bow Design, for only £12.99, would also add elegance to your outfit and lengthen your silhouette.
Despite my recommendation to avoid clashing colours, this fashion season is also currently in praise of blue makeup, which fortunately, helps to emphasise black and gold tints in your outfit. Just a word of caution - don’t overdo it! This is a tricky colour combination, which can only work by merely underlining your features. For instance, try a simple dark blue nail polish or a thick streak of dark blue eyeliner on your upper eyelid.
In the end, all three colours are bold and present statements on their own. For this reason, the key to mixing them lies in finding the ideal balance between the three - a hint of dark blue, a black base and gold accents.
