Just when you thought asymmetrical pieces are the borderline - think again. Designers show how unpredictable they can be by stating that lampshade skirts with mixed patterns are cool and are happening.
D&G presented a whole set of luxurious decadence by mismatching textures, introducing the lampshade mini and displaying over-seized jewels to achieve the I’m-almost-royal-feel of the collection.
LOOK magazine adored the lampshade trend and thought it’s here to stay: “This structured skirt emphasises the waist and makes legs look longer and slimmer. What’s not to love?"
To make most of the lampshade mini, tuck in a patterned top or even a tee, belt your waist and don’t forget your pumps or killer heels. The season’s trends are diverse - you can get away with everything! So don’t worry if your textures don’t match - neither do D&G’s, Marc Jacobs’ or Dior’s.
