HEELS OR TRAINERS?

Are you living your happily-ever-after romance story or are you still on the look for Prince Charming on a white horse (although we also wouldn’t mind a Mercedes or a BMV)? Whatever the situation, St Valentine’s Day is the time of the year when every Cinderella wants to be a princess, if just for a night. No matter how tired, broke or stuck in everyday problems, February 14th makes us all feel on top of the world.

No one ever tells you, however, how stressed you feel just a day before, when you’re trying to find that favourite top of yours or your shoe heel brakes or, God forbid, you brake a nail. I say, we should be thankful St. Valentine’s happens just once in a year!

There are, however, some couples who seem to be effortless, not just on February 14th or in the spotlights, but every day of the year. Let’s sneak a peek in the wardrobe of my personal favourites - Portia De Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres.

Ellen is known for her love of man clothing. Her style is timeless, simple and clean, but also very tricky to master, as it requires a nose for detail. It’s very hard not to be boring with such classic looks, but she knows how to add a personal touch to every outfit and never goes wrong with the accessories. When it comes to shoes - forget about high heels, her signature style are white trainers (indeed, if anyone could pull off white footwear, that’s Ellen).

Arrested Development star Portia De Rossi creates the perfect contrast. The Australian actress prefers very feminine wear - dresses, heels and girly accessories. Her signature look are her long golden locks which she sometimes wears up.

Which style do you prefer?
