ACCESSORISED WELL: THE ANNUAL SAG AWARDS
Glitz, glamour and glitter, the recent red carpet for the Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards couldn’t have looked better. Beautiful stars pranced around the red carpet in their gorgeous gowns and dresses and definitely glammed up their walk of fame.
The Vampire Diaries’ star, Nina Dobrev was seen wearing a very simple yet elegantly sleek Elie Saab. The pink gown was a straight cut, short sleeved maxi-dress that had touch of gold symmetrically placed below the bust-line. She minimized the accessories by wearing just a pair of drop earrings and a bangle, accompanied by a hard-cased clutch bag. Good decision, as the attention goes straight to the dress.
Jayma Mays and Naomi Watts wore similar white gowns, however they did not clash in any way. The Glee star was spotted carrying off a Georges Hobeika Atelier, paired with Neil Lane jewellery. The white gown flowed down beautifully, waist below. Naomi Watts looked elegant wearing a Marchesa, a lacey textured tube-top gown that was pearl white and trailed down the red carpet.
Our favourite mommy, Sofia Vergara… aka Gloria Pritchett carried of a flowy white satin gown by Donna Karan and looked as beautiful as she always does. Naya Riviera pulled off Donna Karan’s deep-v-neck bustier black gown with a mesh neck very well whilst keeping the accessories minimal.
Last but not least, Amanda Seyfried was the icing on the cake for me after she strutted down the red carpet wearing a blue Zac Posen gown that blended the idea of a mermaid dress with ruffles and created this masterpiece. This dress is similar to the one worn at the premiere of Les Miserables, but who says we don’t like it?
Other dresses that deserve a mention includs Jenna Elfman’s black georgette textured gown paired with black and white stilettos, Morena Baccarin’s black tube gown that was attached with an olive green printed trail and Guiliana Rancic’s blue satin dress which oddly (in a nice way) had huge ruffles across one shoulder.
