A FASHION DOG SHOW

If you are fan of dogs, and have been dreaming about dressing up your dog in designer brands for a fancy walk down the park, the day has come for your dreams to come true!

The biggest names in fashion are teaming up to create a couture collection, yes a couture collection in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Of these, I name a few such as Stella Mccartney, Mulberry and Philip Treacy. But also designers like Giles Deacon, Henry Holland, Stephen Jones, Julien Macdonald, Gareth Pugh, Jenny Packham, Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson decided to take part in this one of a kind event to show support and love to the canine.

The collections created will be showcased on November the 8th, during a ‘Fashion show’ where dogs will be sent down the catwalk wearing the outfits created ‘sur mesure’ for each canine. The ball will take place in Battersea home, and chief executive of the charity reveals to Vogue UK: “"This will be the most wonderful and unique fashion fundraiser and we know our dogs will really enjoy it," said Claire Horton "Front row at Collars and Coats will be the place to be on November 8 and we can't wait to see Battersea dogs groomed and dressed in canine couture by the most influential and iconic designers from the world. It's incredible to be working with such world-class talent and we're immensely grateful to everyone who is supporting our dogs and our cats through this collaboration."

One of the dog outfits created will be showcased in the Collars and Coats gala next month and will be auctioned to raise money for the charity.

This is definitely one of the most brilliant ideas to support and push charity a step forward through fashion and designer brands, with a highly devoted group of designers!
