As much as I love my LBD and dark nail polish, the colour black seems to clash with the summer sun and heat. Instead, the season calls for lighter shades, and this year, celebrating both the Jubilee and the Olympics, designers are praising a pure, classy look. Girls, it’s time to step outside and soak up the sun because we’re wearing white this season.

Admittedly, white is a tricky colour to pull off. Of course, you should be extra careful of where you sit, as stains on white material are impossible to cover up. Many are afraid of wearing all white. However, this is precisely the summer trend. Try pairing white trousers with a white blouse. The best colour to match with this look would be tan. For example, you could accessorise your outfit with a tan belt or handbag, such as our new Camel Woven Effect Handbag with Detachable Long Shoulder Strap, for £22.99. Summer is also the time to show off those sexy shades! Add a bit of colour to a white dress with bright sunglasses and vintage jewellery.

Luckily, white can be paired with any colour, so I leave it up to you to experiment. First step, though, is to step out into the sun (remember not to neglect sunscreen). For, the key to pulling off this new trend is a nice tan to contrast with your chosen outfit.
