RECIPE FOR A MULTI-COLOURED ACCESSORISED WARDROBE

Hide away the paisleys, graphics and self-colours and mix up your closet with stripes. A good thing about this print is that it is entirely colour dependent. This means that even if you own a couple of striped shirts, a striped blazer or a striped handbag, it wouldn’t look the same (if the colours vary of course).

Get the sailor look by wearing a vertical nautical striped tie-up shirt, with a pair of white shorts and wedge heel shoes. One up the look by adding a touch of red lipstick to give it that sexy oomph! Go the candy-striper way by wearing a white-red striped shirt with a pair of jeans and high-heeled red pumps.

If you aren’t daring enough to go loud, then invest in a striped blazer or a striped mini-skirt. Not looking for anything expensive? Then just pop by your nearest high-street retail stores and you shall definitely find something. If you want to mix it up, then you should pair your graphic festival t-shirt with a striped blazer and your grungiest pair of cut-off denims. The same can be done with a striped skirt, or a sober striped shirt, just mix it up with anything in your wardrobe. Wear your favourite black and white striped shirt with a polka dotted scarf. You’d think it would look hideous, but go ahead and try it. Dazzle up your striped collection by accessorising well with chunky jewellery such as knuckle rings or collared necklaces.

Just remember, be daring and pair something that you wouldn’t dare to, and challenge that gut feeling. You can never go wrong with fashion and style.
