PINK - HOW THE DESIGNERS USED THE SHADE FOR A/W

Often associated with romance, love, beauty, princesses, Barbie and Victoria's Secret - if oestrogen were a colour it'd most definitely be pink!

Designers return to this shade season after season. This autumn/winter 2015 it seems to be more about than ever. Christopher Kane went for glittering magenta; Mary Katrantzou opted for rich regal shades; Jonathan Saunders showcased optimistic, joyful stripes of pink, while Dolce & Gabbana chose ladylike pastel shades.

This season the choice of pink shades were a far cry from candy coloured pretty-in-pink - it felt more rebellious - on occasions even punk. Bright shades of pink demand attention; lively, vibrant and oddly defiant.
