Stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists and fashionistas had a busy schedule on their plates recently as Monday 7th May saw the MET Ball return to New York
As celebrities gathered in their hundreds to rock the red carpet, cameras and critics were at the ready to compliment on this year’s fashion highlights and to, well, slate the fashion blunders!
One of the best dressed of the night was that of Lily Collins, who looked the belle of the ball in this fairytale Valentino Haute Couture gown. From the pastel pale shading of the dress, to the subtle lace details, the combination of current key trends on this piece made it a hit with critics.
The look was also well accessorised with simple pieces, in order to not take away from the key statement of the dress. Often less is more, and this simple yet successful hair style was scraped back into a loose bun combined with a braid, to give an elegant and sophisticated effect.
